Rachel (VanGiller) Smith began her journey towards a career in healing in 2001 with the decision to enroll at Ogeechee Technical College's Allied Health Practical Nursing program. During her studies there she was exposed to the ideas of holistic nursing and healing. Towards the end of her schooling, she began dealing with health problems of her own resulting in numerous visits to doctors and specialists and ending up with surgery. It was after this that she began to further her studies in holistic health and herbs. She has been actively helping people to regain control of their health by encouraging positive lifestyle changes, nutritional changes, herbal supplementation, stress reduction and relaxation techniques since 2005. She uses her nursing background as a basis for understanding how the body functions, disease processes and the use of medications. However it should be noted that she does NOT do the following: give medical advice, prescribe medications, make medication changes, diagnose/treat/cure any diseases or medical conditions. She stresses the importance of seeking the services of a medical practitioner for any and all medical conditions.

Rachel received her holistic health practitioner certification from Reiki Blessings Academy in Fort Valley, GA. Her studies there included Usui Reiki, crystal therapy, attracting abundance, reflexology, and holistic business; she has certifications in each course. Rachel has received her certification for completion of the certified herbal consultant course from Michaelene Peterson, Naturopath. She continues to take various courses in natural health as well as nursing.

Rachel is an Ordained Clergy Person with the Church of Spiritual Humanism since November 1, 2004.
